  • 0.8FTE (32 hours per week) permanent position
  • Shifts rostered across Monday to Sunday; morning afternoon and night

About the Role

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiasticHealthcare Assistant to join our team.

Healthcare Assistants are instrumental in providingcare to patients and supporting the clinical team. As a Healthcare Assistantyou will assist nursing staff with patient cares whilst maintaining a safe andclean work environment on the unit.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting nursing staff with patient cares
  • Keeping the ward tidy and organised
  • Answering bell calls
  • Assisting with personal care and mobilising patients
  • Ordering and restocking of supplies

About the Service

Ward A5 is a busy general surgical unit with afocus on elective surgery including colorectal hepatobiliary and bariatricsurgery. No two days are the same in this fast-paced team that focuses onperi-operative care and recovery.

About You

We are looking for someone who is empathic andreliable with good time management. You will have the willingness to learnhave great communication skills and are a team player.

  • Ability to work all shifts Morning Afternoon and Nights
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Initiative and a proactive approach to work
  • Experience as a Healthcare Assistant or similar is desirable
