Halter is scaling fast. Were already serving customers across New Zealand the US Australia and Canada with more markets on the way. Were looking for a Group Accountant to help keep our finances sharp as we grow across borders. Key responsibilities will include:

• Working directly with our external auditors owning audit requests and keeping things moving smoothly through the process.

• Researching technical accounting positions and drafting the management papers that back them up.

• Staying ahead of accounting and tax obligations and filing deadlines across multiple entities so nothing sneaks up on us.

• Working alongside our financial control team to support with group-level month-end tasks including intercompany recharges and reconciliations.

• Digging into accounting and tax requirements in new markets as we decide where to expand next.

• Experimenting with AI to sharpen and streamline how the group function works.

You will also gain exposure to other areas of finance including finance operations treasury FP&A and finance systems.

We are looking for a passionate hardworking team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn and get stuck into solving hard problems. Key capabilities and experience include:

• At least 3 years work experience newly qualified CA or equivalent;

• A strong technical background including knowledge of NZ IFRS or US GAAP (or both);

• Experience dealing with multinational enterprises and consolidations;

• Experience with auditing processes.

Halter is growing fast expanding into new markets and our finance function needs to scale alongside it to ensure we can maintain speed without compromising on quality of output or the trust of our stakeholders. This role sits at the centre of how we account for a business spanning multiple jurisdictions and the complexities of managing varying currencies tax regimes and accounting frameworks. Youll have a direct impact on building the processes controls and judgments that underpin Halters next phase of growth.
