Graduate Accountant

Youll do this by working closely with the Finance team and stakeholders across the business to keep processes running smoothly maintain strong financial controls and support reporting. Were looking for someone who takes ownership pays attention to detail and is motivated to learn and grow.

About the role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller this role provides flexible support across the Finance function. As a Graduate Accountant youll contribute to day-to-day accounting month-end activities reconciliations reporting support and ad-hoc analysis as priorities shift.

Youll gain exposure across multiple areas of Finance including accounts payable and receivable reconciliations compliance support and management reporting. This is a development-focused role suited to a graduate with 12 years experience who is working towards or planning to commence their CA ANZ qualification. Over time youll build capability through coaching practical experience and progressively increased responsibility.

What youll be doing

• Supporting accounts payable and receivable activities including coding processing allocations remittances and resolving routine queries
• Assisting with month-end tasks such as draft journals reconciliations cut-off support and reporting schedules
• Preparing and maintaining accurate supporting documentation working papers and master data records
• Supporting management reporting budgeting and forecasting activities during peak periods
• Assisting with compliance and audit support including schedules and information requests
• Working with stakeholders across the business to resolve queries and provide responsive finance support
• Helping improve processes documentation and data accuracy across systems and reports

What youll bring

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting Commerce or a related discipline (completed or near completion)
• 12 years experience in a finance or accounts role including internships or graduate positions
• Strong attention to detail sound time management and the ability to meet deadlines
• Working knowledge of Excel and confidence using finance or ERP systems
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders
• Adaptability integrity and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Working toward or planning to commence CA ANZ (or a similar professional qualification)
