Job Summary
What You Will Be Doing
- Act as a Brand Ambassador: Be a highly visible charismatic ambassador for Sofitel and Accor building deep connections with VIP guests corporate partners and the broader Auckland business community.
- Cultivate a High-Performance Team: Recruit mentor and retain a world-class leadership team. Cultivate a commercial mindset across all departments linking operational excellence directly to guest loyalty and profitability.
- Drive Financial & Operational Performance: Take full P&L accountability to maximize profits optimize operational margins and consistently outperform financial targets through disciplined cost management and strategic resource allocation.
- Strategic Revenue Management: Partner closely with Revenue Sales and Marketing teams to implement aggressive yield management strategies maximizing RevPAR Average Daily Rate and market share .
- Asset Management & Owner Relations: Build highly collaborative transparent and trusted relationships with property owners. Partner on strategic capital expenditure plans ensuring investments directly enhance asset valuation and drive measurable ROI.
- Elevate Brand Repositioning: Champion Sofitels global luxury standards leveraging brand equity to position the property as Aucklands premier luxury hotel for high-net-worth leisure travellers corporate clients and premium events.
- Monitor Quality Metrics: Lead from the front to elevate guest satisfaction and luxury standards compliance translating premium service quality into sustained brand loyalty and pricing power.
Qualifications :
What You Will Bring to the Role
- Proven Luxury Leadership: A stellar track record as a General Manager or seasoned Executive Hotel Manager in a luxury environment with a history of delivering exceptional P&L results.
- Refurbishment & Repositioning Expertise: Concrete experience managing major hotel refurbishments asset transformations or property repositioning projects from concept to highly profitable execution.
- Advanced Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of hotel accounting yield and revenue management luxury market distribution channels and ownership/investment structures.
- Sophisticated Stakeholder Management: Exceptional negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders including high-level owners corporate executives and VIP partners.
- People-First Results-Oriented Leadership: High emotional intelligence paired with strong accountabilityan inspirational mentor who curates a culture of belonging empowerment and high performance.
