As a Cruise Host youll represent CentrePort and Wellington by providing friendly professional assistance to passengers and crew. Youll share local knowledge support cruise activities and help deliver a smooth and positive visitor experience.

What youll be doing

• Welcome and assist cruise passengers and crew.
• Provide information on local attractions transport and visitor services.
• Support cruise terminal operations passenger movements and general enquiries.
• Liaise with tour operators transport providers and other stakeholders.
• Set up and pack down cruise terminal facilities.
• Process payments and complete administrative tasks as required.
• Provide operational support to the wider team when required.

About you

Youll be someone who enjoys working with people adapts well to changing priorities and is comfortable working in a busy operational environment. Youll bring:

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• A friendly professional and approachable manner.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence using computers tablets and digital systems.
• A commitment to safety and following operational procedures.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work rostered shifts including weekends public holidays and extended hours during the cruise season.
• A good level of physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors.
• Knowledge of Wellington and its attractions is an advantage.
