Were looking for a Cost & Systems Accountant to join our Finance team in Invercargill. This is an exciting opportunity for an accountant who enjoys working across both finance and technology supporting business-critical systems while providing valuable cost accounting expertise to the wider business.

About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Analysis & Reporting Manager youll play a key role in supporting and enhancing PowerNets financial systems ensuring accurate reporting effective financial controls and meaningful information is available to support business decisions.

This varied role will see you:

  • Support and administer Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Continia and related finance systems
  • Provide practical system support and guidance to finance project operational and business users
  • Maintain system controls user access master data and financial workflows
  • Support project costing work order management and operational cost reporting
  • Identify and help implement process improvements automation opportunities and system enhancements
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders IT and external service providers to improve efficiency controls and user experience

About You

Youll be a collaborative and proactive accountant who enjoys solving problems improving processes and helping others get the most from business systems.

To be successful in this role youll bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting Finance Business or a related discipline
  • At least four years accounting experience
  • Experience working with accounting and reporting systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • A continuous improvement mindset and a willingness to challenge the status quo

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and CA ANZ membership (or progress towards membership) would be advantageous.
