Conference Supervisor

At Mövenpick Hotel Auckland were passionate about creating memorable experiences for our guests. Were looking for an energetic and hands-on Conference Supervisor to lead the day-to-day delivery of our conference and and event operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys leading a team building strong client relationships and ensuring every event is delivered to the highest standard.

As our Conference Supervisor youll be responsible for:

• Leading conference banquet and event operations from setup through to packdown.
• Supervising and supporting the conference team during service.
• Ensuring conference rooms and event spaces are prepared to the highest standard.
• Delivering exceptional guest experiences and resolving issues professionally.
• Conducting team briefings and ensuring smooth event execution.
• Coordinating with Kitchen Front Office Sales & Events and other departments.
• Maintaining presentation cleanliness and operational standards across all event spaces.
• Assisting with training coaching and development of team members.
• Taking ownership of operations and making confident decisions during shifts.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience in conference banquets events or hospitality supervision.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• A passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
• Confidence working independently and leading operations when required.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.
• A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate or the ability to obtain one
