Are you passionate about food and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Mainfreight Transport Auckland is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Chef to join our friendly Kitchen Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in preparing and serving high-quality meals for more than 200 team members each day.

Working alongside a dedicated kitchen team youll help create a positive dining experience while maintaining exceptional food quality presentation and hygiene standards.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and cooking daily meals.
• Serving meals to team members.
• Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Stock control ordering and inventory management.
• Food safety compliance and record keeping.
• Working collaboratively with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Monday to Friday day shifts.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Proven culinary skills and a passion for creating great food
• Experience working in a busy kitchen environment
• Strong organisational and computer skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Sound knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
• A commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.
• A positive attitude and strong teamwork ethic.
• Good physical fitness and stamina.
