About the role:
St Cuthberts College is seeking a caring flexible and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Junior School on a casual basis.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to contribute to a positive supportive learning environment. You will work alongside our Junior School teachers to support students with their learning assist with classroom activities and resources and help create an organised and engaging classroom environment.
As a casual Teaching Assistant you may work across different year groups and classrooms depending on the needs of the Junior School. You may support individual students or small groups assist with English and Mathematics learning help prepare classroom resources and provide support with classroom and playground activities.
The successful candidate will be:
- Warm caring and approachable and have a genuine interest in working with children
- Reliable flexible and comfortable adapting to different classrooms and year groups
- A confident communicator who works well as part of a team
- Patient and supportive and have the ability to encourage students in their learning
- Organised and willing to assist wherever support is needed
- Committed to student safety wellbeing and the values of By Love Serve
Previous experience working with children particularly in a school or education setting is desirable. A relevant qualification or experience in supporting childrens learning would also be advantageous.
