The role Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
Werelooking for passionate reliable and caring individuals to join us as CasualSupport Workers across all Pathways services. Our casual roles cover leave forpermanent Support Workers in Christchurch providing you with the opportunityto gain valuable experience across a range of our services (community mobilerespite residential and recovery). As acasual the hours of work are not regular and are offered when they becomeavailable so if youre looking for a role with flexibility then wed love to hearfrom you.
We areprioritising candidates who are available to work awake night and weekendshifts as these are key staffing requirements for the role. Availability towork these shifts will be an important consideration in our recruitmentprocess.
As a CasualSupport Worker youll play a vital role in supporting tāngata whai ora in their recovery journeyensuring safety wellbeing and meaningful engagement. This role will always have variety and it couldinclude things like:
- Goal setting and building confidence
- Securing a job or finding a place to live
- Supporting people with budgeting and independent daily living skills
- Attending appointments and advocating for people
- Assisting people to connect with their communities
- Medication support where required
- Supporting whai ora with their daily routine
- Maintaining the house
- Supportingpeople to manage their distress
- Be prepared to do whatever it takes - cleaning cooking gardening or helping with everyday tasks

Criteria:
- It is essential that applicants applying for this role should be prepared to work all shifts (AM PM and awake nights) when required on any day of the week and across all services.
- You need the right to work in New Zealand
- Preferrably youll hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 or an equivalent qualification. To check equivalency go tohttps:// or be prepared to complete the comprehensive first aid certificate
- You need a full drivers licence
- Knowledge of and demonstrable commitment to the principles of the Te Tiriti Waitangi.
