The Role Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
We are looking for a CasualRegistered Nurse to join our Auckland peer-led acute service that offers analternative to hospital admission for those people experiencing acute mentaldistress.

This is a Casual position with shifts across the full 24 hours 7 days per week.

Tupu Ake our peer-led service in South Auckland was one ofthe first mental health and wellbeing peer support services of its kind in NewZealand.

Our beautiful 1912 villa in Papatoetoe has always been aplace of healing and rest. It was initially a homestead then a convent and arest home before being renovated for Pathways in 2008 becoming Tupu Ake. Thepeaceful park-like garden provides a quiet setting away from the hustle andbustle of everyday life.
You will need to havea scope of practice to work in mental health and utilise your clinical nursingskills to support our guests in their recovery.

Youll also have:

  • Must have a New Zealand Registered Health Professional with a current practising certificate
  • Comprehensive and/or psychiatric scope and the ability to work within the field of mental health.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral and excellent organisational skills
  • Hold a full clean New Zealand drivers licence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn new computer programmes and skills
  • Knowledge of and demonstrable commitment to the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
