Teaching Assistant
Full-time Junior School Vlaskamp

We have an opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our Junior School Vlaskamp (JSV) campus in The Hague working to support learnersin Year 4.

You will be joining a highly professional team of Teaching Assistants who teach alongside the class teachers both in indoor and outdoor settings. You will need to develop an understanding of supporting children in a highly inclusive environment and will follow the pedagogy modelled by all professionals working across the school. You will play an important part in fostering academic and social development.

The successful candidate:

Applicants should be fluent English speakers and need to have a flexible approach to their role. The role of Teaching Assistant is to support teaching and learning and to assist the teacher(s) in the delivery of the schools curriculum. Our team of Teaching Assistants also play an important part in the fostering of students personal social and independence skills.

We are looking for a candidate with relevant experience working with groups of children of this age group. Candidates should be qualified as a Teaching Assistant at Cache level 2 hold an equivalent qualification in childhood education or relevant experience within a school setting.

As a Teaching Assistant you have a patient and caring attitude and are committed to helping students progress. Also you must have the ability to work well and collaboratively within a addition you will also have:

  • Confidence working with students both individually and in small groups who have varied needs;

  • Knowledge of the British curriculum and working within Key Stage 2.

The salary range for this position is 318143 - 396463 gross EUR monthly (full-time) depending on experience including the 9% holiday pay.
