Job Summary

Introduction

The Re-Purpose Operations team is part of ASMLs Reverse Supply Chain Operations department. The team plays an important role in extending the life cycle of materials by enabling reuse repair and recycling across the supply chain. By ensuring materials move efficiently through reverse supply chain processes the team contributes to ASMLs sustainability ambitions and helps maximize the value of existing resources. During this internship you will gain hands-on experience in supply chain operations while supporting daily activities and driving improvements that make processes more effective. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to ASMLs circularity ambitions while learning from experienced supply chain professionals.


Your assignment

As an intern you will become part of the Re-Purpose Operations team and support the daily execution of reverse supply chain activities. You will gain insight into how materials are planned tracked and routed through different reuse repair and recycling flows. Working closely with planners and stakeholders you will help ensure materials move efficiently through the supply chain while contributing to operational addition to supporting daily operations you will take ownership of a process improvement project within the team. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Support the Re-Purpose Operations team in the planning execution and follow-up of daily reverse supply chain activities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the reverse supply chain to ensure timely material reuse repair and recycling activities

  • Monitor material flows and analyze operational data dashboards and key performance indicators to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities

  • Lead an improvement project within the Re-Purpose Operations scope and support the implementation of process improvements

  • Contribute directly to ASMLs circularity ambitions by enabling material reuse reducing waste and improving operational efficiency


This is a bachelor/master internship (non-thesis) for minimum 5 months minimum 32 hours per week (4 days on-site).


Your profile

To be suitable for the internship you:

  • Are pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in Supply Chain Management Industrial Engineering Logistics or a related field

  • Have an affinity with supply chain planning logistics and operational processes

  • Have experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and communication

  • Are analytical proactive and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with others

  • Communicate effectively in English both written and spoken

Other requirements you need to meet:
  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship and you are at least 18 years old at the start of the internship;

  • If you are a non-EU citizen studying in the Netherlands your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e. Nuffic agreement);

  • You attach your cover letter with a clear motivation on why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;

  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands your application shows the willingness to relocate.

This position requires access to controlled technology as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730 et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
