You will either joinPES - Product Engineering and Servicingwhich focuses on the next-generation R&D and imagining and reinventing the future of Products and the end-to-end Product journey from the initial design to managing Product Lifecycle Systems their Sustainable Footprint and the ultimate retiring and replacement.

Or you will joinM&O - Manufacturing and Operationswhich focuses on digital Manufacturing Intelligent Asset Management and Capital Projects in Utilities. The topic of your graduation internship could be around gridinfrastructurechallenges of the energy transition(in the utilities industry)and any other innovations you can find on the factory floor to provide a digital transformation at the core of Manufacturing.

• Daily tasks

As an intern atSC&E you will work in collaboration withourcolleaguesto conduct your thesisresearch and assignment in one of the relevant research areas listed below. Key is that your thesis will research challenges or opportunities we see at our clients and that new business solutions or opportunities can be defined based on the input ofourexperts. During your internshipyoullconnect with manySC&Ecolleagues from Accenture and gain valuable insight into the world of strategy & consulting. Your work locationis at themain officein Amsterdam where you willbe requiredto be present at least 3 days a week.

• Research

ProductEngineering and Servicing (PES)

Within PESwe specialize in companies that focus on product development so we aremainly activeinResearch& Development departments.Here we enable industry leading clients tooptimizetheir business processes and efficiency.

Research groups:

• Defining R&D strategies:Helping clients shape their long-term vision and roadmap for R&D and digital transformation.

• Improving engineering and business processes:Analyzing current ways of working and redesigning product development processes through workshops interviews and practical improvements.

• Implementing digital solutions:Supporting the rollout of technologies such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms and AI-enabled solutions.

• Driving sustainability initiatives:Setting up frameworks processes and insights that help companies reach their sustainability goals.

Each year we have multiple business relevant thesis topics prepared around these topics.If insteadyou are looking for a role that focusses more on product design itself we also have internships available within AccenturesIndustrial Designteamvia a separate vacancy.

Manufacturing and Operations(M&O)

WithinM&O we are currently looking for research focused onIntelligent Asset Management Capital Projects in Utilities and Digital Manufacturing.We transform production plants assets and work processes to deliver operational excellence. By prioritizingoptimizing digitizing connecting and automating our clients operations through integrated solutions AI IoT mobility and platforms that will unlockadditionalvalue and productivity within and across production sites.Itsa chance to apply your engineering skills to deliver meaningful high-impact solutions.

Research groups:

• IntelligentAssetManagement:You will support transforming the way our clients take care of their physical assets such as machinesbuildingsand equipment. You will collaborate with us to create data-driven and intelligent solutions such as Predictive Maintenance and Asset Performance Management to improve efficiency reducedowntimeand increase sustainability while reducing maintenance costs.

• CapitalProjects inUtilities:Youwillsupport utility companiesin driving the energy transition by developingnew solutionsand strategies to build new infrastructure manage grid congestion andoptimizeasset performance.

• DigitalManufacturing:You will focuson where clients can digitizeoptimizeand bring digital transformation to the core of their manufacturing processes. Think about developing fully autonomous factories (dark factories).

If youre interested in writing a thesis possible topics range from AI applications in the utility sector data driven predictive maintenancerethinking the construction process(and standardization)for large-scale infrastructure projects topics related totheoperationand efficiencyof the grid creating new propositions for dark factories and digital transformation of manufacturing processes. These are just some ideas. Do not feel limited by this list and share any ideas you may have!

• You are nearing completion of your masters at a Dutch University and are searching for work experience within the field ofSC&E.

• You have a passion for new Technologies in the field of Engineering or Manufacturing and are eager to work on these from either strategic/consulting side or technology/developer side.

• YouarefluentinEnglish and/orDutch.

• Youreinterested in starting a career in the field of consulting and digital business transformations.

• You are a team player; you are professional and precise.
