Student Assistant (mfd) in the area of Optical Characterization & Photonics at our location in Eindhoven (NL)

• Perform optical characterization measurements on VCSEL and photodiode devices
• Measure and document near-field and far-field emission patterns using beam profilers
• Collect and analyze spectral data using optical spectrum analyzers
• Execute standardized test procedures for laser sensor module performance
• Support data correlation between measurements and existing optical models
• Maintain measurement logs and create visualization reports

Qualifications :

• Ongoing Bachelors or Masters degree in physics electrical engineering photonics or a comparable technical course of study
• Basic understanding of optics and laser principles as well as data analysis skills with Excel MATLAB or Python
• Safe precise work with optical devices in compliance with applicable safety standards
• Responsible structured detail-oriented and conscientious way of working
• Very good written and spoken English skills
• 8 - 16 hours per week / 6 months
• Working in a dynamic young high-tech company
