Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Interoperability and Acceptance Testing) for NATO with security clearance

Assurance is only worth having when it is independent. This post is theindependent half.

You would join the product and service assurance team of a multinational defence organisationin The Hague Netherlands verifying and validating delivered projects systems services andprogrammes and reporting on them at executive level. Mostly on-site with flexibility to workfrom home.

What you would be doing

• Planning organising and running formal reviews and assessments across complex andcross-functional domains and along the supply chain
• Appraising work against the organisations standards identifying where it does not complyand working out why
• Producing the test documentation event test plans test cases traceability matricesreports
• Assuring other peoples test artefacts the traceability matrix above all
• Managing the design planning execution and reporting of verification and validationevents
• Supporting projects delivered by external contractors
• Supporting the operational community through acceptance activities

What you would bring

• At least five years recently planning and executing test verification and validation onlarge and complex projects
• At least five years testing systems and products for function behaviour under load andinteroperability with everything around them
• Proven management of external stakeholders and colleagues through a large delivery
• Enough architectural literacy to reason about the hardware and software designs you find insystem documentation
• Communication that is clear coherent and concise written and spoken
• Experience leading a team of testers quality engineers or developers
• Testing in virtualised and cloud environments
• The usual test defect and requirements management tooling
• Independent testing where the testing itself is done by someone else

Nice to have

• An advanced testing or test-management certification
• Testing in a defence or military business domain and interoperability testing in thatcontext
• Assurance tools and processes

You would sit outside the delivery teams and report upwards which is the only position fromwhich assurance work actually changes anything.
