Senior PythonDjango Developer eager to learn Golang

Elements is growing and ambitious! As part of our exciting expansion we just moved from Almere to Amsterdam and were looking for a Senior Python/Django Developer who is eager to learn Golang to help us build web applications millions rely on. While your primary focus is Python/Django experience with Golang will give you an edge.

As a Backend developer you will work with your team to make estimates and define architecture. You will spend most of your time designing and coding technical solutions. You will also build brand new applications and participate in defining the project structure. We expect you to adopt Elements way of working and make suggestions to continuously improve it. Last but not least we hope you bring a natural drive to stay up to date with the latest technological innovations.

WHAT YOU BRING

Youre someone who communicates clearly in Dutch and English and can easily connect with colleagues and clients alike. With a proactive mindset and an open collaborative attitude you thrive in team environments and enjoy finding solutions together. Youre curious by nature quick to learn new skills and genuinely enjoy the variety of working on different types of projects. Frequent changes dont phase you; instead you embrace an adaptive approach to evolving priorities. On top of that you bring a healthy sense of commercial awareness allowing you to balance technical excellence with the bigger picture of delivering value.

Your tech skills and experience:

• Solid experience with professional programming and development of relevant projects
• At least 5-6 years of experience in Python/Django development with a genuine interest in learning Golang
• Experience with Golang is a huge plus
• Any experience with or eagerness to learn: React React Native Typescript Vue Kotlin and Swift is welcomed.
• Aware of current CI/CD trends and able to work with them
• Experience with working in agile project teams (Scrum Kanban)
• Excellent Dutch and English language and communication skills
• Creative curious flexible and open-minded
• Independent thinker yet committed to companys and teams success
• Familiarity with Postgres AWS and observability tools such as Prometheus Grafana or Loki is a plus
