Job Summary

As a Senior Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer you will:
  • Design implement and support enterprise Unified Communications (UC) solutions with a strong focus on Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice.
  • Lead migration projects from legacy telephony platforms and Skype for Business (SfB) to Microsoft Teams ensuring seamless transition and minimal business disruption.
  • Design and deploy Microsoft Teams Direct Routing solutions integrating enterprise voice infrastructure with PSTN and Session Border Controllers (SBCs).
  • Administer and optimize Microsoft Teams Phone System including call routing phone numbers call queues auto attendants emergency calling and voice policies.
  • Configure and manage Microsoft Teams collaboration features meetings channels apps external access and governance.
  • Develop technology roadmaps for Unified Communications and Collaboration platforms supporting long-term modernization initiatives.
  • Design configure and troubleshoot enterprise voice networks including SIP RTP H.323 MGCP QoS DNS and firewall configurations.
  • Integrate Microsoft Teams with legacy PBX platforms such as Avaya Cisco Mitel Nortel and other enterprise telephony solutions.
  • Perform health monitoring performance tuning and Call Quality Dashboard (CQD) analysis to ensure high availability and optimal user experience.
  • Develop and execute PowerShell scripts to automate Microsoft Teams administration reporting and operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft telecommunications vendors infrastructure teams and business stakeholders to resolve technical issues and deliver enterprise communication solutions.
  • Support governance security compliance lifecycle management and operational best practices for Microsoft Teams environments.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • 810 years of experience in Unified Communications Enterprise Voice or Collaboration Technologies.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice Teams Phone System and Direct Routing.
  • Strong expertise in Skype for Business (2015 and later) and hybrid deployment architectures.
  • Proven experience leading migrations from Skype for Business and legacy PBX platforms to Microsoft Teams.
  • Hands-on experience managing enterprise telephony platforms such as Avaya Cisco CUCM Mitel Nortel or similar systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Session Border Controllers (AudioCodes Ribbon Communications Oracle SBC or equivalent).
  • Solid understanding of VoIP technologies SIP RTP H.323 MGCP QoS PSTN integration codecs (G.711 G.723 G.729) and enterprise networking concepts.
  • Experience configuring Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID) DNS networking and firewall settings for Microsoft Teams deployments.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for Microsoft Teams administration and automation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams governance security lifecycle management monitoring and compliance.
  • Excellent troubleshooting stakeholder management communication and project coordination skills.
You Should Possess the Ability to:
  • Design and deploy enterprise-scale Microsoft Teams Voice and Unified Communications solutions.
  • Lead complex migration projects from legacy telephony and Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams.
  • Architect resilient voice infrastructures using Direct Routing and enterprise telephony integrations.
  • Troubleshoot complex voice networking audio/video and collaboration platform issues.
  • Automate administrative and operational tasks using PowerShell.
  • Collaborate effectively with infrastructure teams vendors and business stakeholders.
  • Deliver secure scalable and highly available communication services aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Research emerging collaboration technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the digital workplace.
