WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you play a key role in ensuring the safe compliant and reliable operation of the mechanical utility systems that support our manufacturing warehousing and office facilities.

The System Owner is the accountable individual for the optimal performance compliance and continuity of a designated utility system or asset at the ABR site.

The System Owner serves as the single point of contact for the system across its full life cycle. From design through retirement and interface with internal stakeholders external vendors and regulatory bodies as needed.

Working closely with Maintenance Operations Capital Projects and external partners youll provide technical leadership for mechanical systems throughout their lifecycle while supporting site expansion and continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role you will:

• Provide technical ownership and engineering expertise for mechanical utility systems and infrastructure.

• Support mechanical design reviews equipment selection and engineering standards.

• Lead troubleshooting activities for complex mechanical equipment and utility systems.

• Support capital projects equipment upgrades commissioning qualification and validation activities.

• Review technical documentation maintenance strategies and engineering change controls.

• Collaborate with Maintenance Operations Reliability and external engineering partners to improve system performance.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability sustainability energy efficiency and operational excellence.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.

• Experience with mechanical utility systems such as HVAC chilled water boilers compressed air refrigeration piping systems pumps and pressure equipment.

• Experience in mechanical engineering facilities engineering or utilities engineering within an industrial environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.

• Experience with CMMS platforms and engineering documentation preferably in a highly regulated industry.

• Experience in a GMP-regulated environment is considered an advantage.
