Product Owner Team - SCD

Location: Amsterdam or Madrid

Role Purpose
The Senior Manager for Product Ownership strengthens and leads the Product Ownership discipline within Strategic Corporate Development (SCD). The role provides authoritative guidance ensures delivery of significant business outcomes and drives consistent valuebased product practices across the various Credit Insurance applications.

This position is responsible for shaping the commercial product vision and execution coaching Product Owners establishing highquality product management standards and ensuring that digital products effectively support optimised processes automation and innovation across the enterprise.

The Product Owners in this team are responsible for Atrium Connectivity (with Customers Brokers Fronters) Document Management & -Output and Reference Data & Organisation Data APIs. This team is working in close collaboration with the Arcade Commercial Product Owner team which is also part of SCD.

Key responsibilities

Product Leadership & Governance

• Provides authoritative guidance in Product Ownership practices aligning product visions roadmaps and increments with organisational priorities and SCD objectives.
• Ensures that product decisions are based on clear requirements prioritisation and value assessments.
• Leads the implementation and continuous improvement of the Product Ownership framework ensuring alignment with enterprise governance architecture and delivery models.

People Leadership & Capability Building

• Provides operational leadership to a team of Product Owners enabling their development and performance in line with expectations.
• Shapes and promotes Product Ownership as a capability - defining standards enhancing skills and enabling maturity development.
• Coaches Product Owners to apply requirements management stakeholder collaboration backlog optimisation and value delivery practices.

Strategic Product Direction

• Leads product planning activities ensuring roadmaps are based on evidencebased prioritisation customer and business outcomes and organisational constraints.
• Ensures that product strategies exploit opportunities arising from process optimisation automation data usage and digital innovation.
• Evaluates productrelated risks dependencies and business impacts and ensures appropriate mitigation.

Value Realisation & Delivery Excellence

• Ensures that products deliver intended benefits through structured benefits tracking and alignment with operational readiness.
• Works collaboratively with delivery responsible Managers Architects Process Designers and Innovation teams to ensure coherent valuebased implementation across crossfunctional initiatives.
• Ensures product quality compliance with standards and alignment with Atradius technology strategies.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

• Builds and sustains strong relationships with senior stakeholders ensuring transparency of product plans decisions and performance.
• Facilitates collaboration among diverse business and IT stakeholders managing competing perspectives and aligning on shared outcomes.
• Influences decisionmakers through concise evidencebased insights and proposals.

Your Profile
Experience & Competencies

• Demonstrated experience leading Product Ownership or Product Management within complex international business IT or digital environments.
• Proven experience applying competencies such as:
  • Product management
  • Requirements definition & management
  • Business process improvement
  • Innovation management
  • Organisational capability development
• Strong autonomy judgement and decisionmaking skills - ensuring delivery of outcomes within agreed cost time and quality parameters.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills able to influence stakeholders with differing goals.
• Ability to assess complex issues balance tradeoffs and provide authoritative advice.
• A continuousimprovement mindset that proactively identifies opportunities for enhanced value delivery.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelors- or Masters degree in Business IT or related disciplines.
• Professional Product Ownership certification (PSPO CSPO SAFe POPM) preferred.
• Knowledge of BPM Lean automation technologies and enterprise architecture principles is an advantage.
