We have an exciting opportunity in Haarlem for a: Senior Financial Analyst COSI Animal Health
Purpose of the role
Our Finance team brings together our financial perspectives into our overall strategic and tactical decision making. We use state-of-the-art techniques for financial analysis planning accounting reporting and performance evaluation. This allows the organization to continue advancing medical innovation and improve lives.
Welcome to our team
This position is part of the COSI matrix organization which performs end to end activities from actual occurrence of a financial result till consolidation level in HQ. Main tasks will be maintaining reviewing reporting and analyzing inventory production and product cost data and supporting the monthly accounting close and management cycles for multiple branches
Tasks and responsibilities
Your main tasks will be:
- Owning the fiscal month-end cycle for your entities relating to inventory production costs and other financial reporting activities.
- Liaising with supply chain management procurement and commercial functions to ensure that product costs are set appropriately enabling accurate long term planning.
- Partnering with manufacturing site controllers and commercial entity leads to deliver accurate annual cost and productivity budgets and inventory revaluation estimates.
- Providing valuable and timely support to business partners addressing local/functional stakeholder questions on financial results or accounting guidance.
- Leading internal improvement projects around systems and reporting practices.
- Meeting SOX & internal control requirements ensuring diligent accounting and reporting.
- Openly sharing experience with peers in an effort to broaden knowledge and increase efficiency.
- Mentoring E2E analysts and facilitate thorough understanding of financial and business processes.
Your profile
- Fluency in verbal and written English.
- Holds a BSc or MSc degree in finance accounting or business-related fields (professional certifications such as CPA ACCA or CMA are a plus).
- Has 3-5 years of experience preferably in controlling accounting financial planning or consolidation functions (experience in cost accounting is a plus).
- Has experience in working with ERP and reporting systems such as SAP BW AFO and Power BI (experience with AI solutions and/or data analytics is a plus).
- Has strong stakeholder management skills and is able to simplify complex concepts.
- Has a natural drive to seek improvement and challenge the status quo.
- Has good project management skills.
- Coaching junior analysts comes naturally.
