Overview
A leading European engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to join its industrial industry team. This role is focused on delivering innovative sustainable engineering solutions across the energy chemical and food sectors with a strong emphasis on electrification energy efficiency and modernisation of industrial plants.
You will be part of multidisciplinary project teams consisting of engineers across all levels working collaboratively on complex high-impact industrial projects.
This position is with our client a leading European engineering and architecture consultancy driving sustainable development and digital transformation across industry.

- Full relocation to the Netherlands is mandatory for this role

Key Responsibilities
In this role you will take full technical ownership of E&I engineering within multidisciplinary industrial projects:
- Lead electrical and instrumentation design activities from concept through execution
- Translate customer and process requirements into robust feasible engineering solutions
- Develop complete technical designs based on specifications sketches and functional requirements
- Act as a key technical sparring partner to lead engineers and project managers
- Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical process civil etc.)
- Ensure compliance with safety reliability and industry standards in all designs
- Mentor and guide junior and medior engineers within the team
- Advise clients on electrification energy optimisation and plant modernisation strategies
- Evaluate engineering decisions in live production environments with a strong safety focus
- Contribute to the adoption of digital tools automation and AI-driven engineering processes
Project Exposure
You will work on impactful and sustainability-driven industrial projects such as:
- Electrification of industrial installations
- Electric steam boiler systems
- Mechanical Vapour Recompression (MVR) systems
- Expansion and upgrading of electrical infrastructure in existing plants
- Energy efficiency and decarbonisation initiatives
- Brownfield and greenfield industrial developments

Education & Experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
- Approximately 10 years of relevant experience in industrial engineering or consultancy environments
Technical Expertise
- Strong background in electrical and instrumentation engineering in industrial settings
- Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering project teams

Mandatory Requirement
