We are seeking a Senior AS400 Engineer to join a DevOps team responsible for maintaining enhancing and stabilizing AS400/IBM i applications. You will work across legacy ERP systems complex integrations and lowdocumentation environments ensuring business continuity and high system reliability. This role also includes mentoring engineers and occasionally stepping into Team Lead responsibilities.
- Maintain and enhance AS400 applications (fixes improvements new logic).
- Develop and support RPG III RPG IV RPG ILE and RPG Free Format programs.
- Work with CLP programming DB2/400 embedded SQL and AS400 file systems.
- Manage job processing batch jobs scheduling and system performance.
- Analyze data flows APIs and integration dependencies across ERP and enterprise systems.
- Support interfaces between AS400 and SAP POS logistics and other systems.
- Perform incident triage troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Work within ITSM processes to meet SLA MTTR and incident reduction targets.
- Contribute to DevSecOps KPIs (DORA metrics deployment success rate).
- Mentor junior engineers and provide leadership when required.
- Ensure stability-first operations with zero disruption during transitions.
