We are currently looking for a Sales Manager to join the team at SPS Airport Equipment.

Your Role:

As Sales Manager at SPS Airport Equipment you are responsible for driving the companys growth strategy focusing on identifying securing and nurturing new business opportunities across the GSE market. You will expand into new geographies and customer segments directly contributing to revenue growth and market share while building strong relationships with airlines airports and GSE service providers and maintaining existing customer accounts.

Your responsibilities:

  • Prepare quotations and create/process internal orders to support customer transactions and internal workflows.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor update and manage the sales pipeline list to ensure transparency of opportunities and accurate forecasting.
  • Identify and actively pursue new opportunities with airlines ground handling companies airports and rental companies to expand market reach.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with broader organizational goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers ensuring their needs are met with tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to clarify technical requirements and ensure accurate order specification.
  • Represent the company at global trade shows industry events and customer meetings to showcase offerings.
  • Develop and implement sales plans including forecasting target setting and performance tracking.
  • Provide feedback to product development teams regarding customer needs and market demands.
  • Negotiate contracts and close high-value deals to achieve revenue targets.
  • Provide input on marketing content and stay up to date on team activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends regulatory changes and competitive dynamics.
  • Able to travel at least 30% of the time to support customer visits business development activities trade shows and international meetings.

Your qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Engineering Aviation Management or a related field (Masters degree is preferred).
  • Several years of sales experience (5-8 years) preferably in the industrial sector preferably GSE.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of cargo handling application as well as baggage handling operation.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Technical understanding of GSE equipment engineering concepts and customer operational requirements.
  • Experience working with ERP and CRM systems for sales management customer tracking reporting and order processing.
  • Strong customer orientation and ability to tailor solutions based on customer needs.
  • Proficient in Dutch and English both verbal and written.
  • Drivers license B.
