The Honours Master Class
The Honours Master Class is a valuable addition to students of the master Accounting Auditing and Control at Erasmus University faculty ESE. It is characterized by a unique combination of theory and practice in accounting. The program is developed in close cooperation with the academic staff of ESE and PwC. It includes significant interaction with the business community through projects with practitioners a company visit internship opportunities and social events. Being an Honours Master student will not only give you great insights into practice but also provide you with a competitive edge to your resume and a jumpstart to your professional career.

Curriculum
As an Honours Master student you will attend the core curriculum in a special Honours Master Class enhancing the class experience. The core courses seminars and a masters thesis are distributed over five blocks of eight weeks. The curriculum is continuously updated to incorporate developments in the field and the demands of professional organizations.
In addition to the core curriculum PwC will organize numerous extracurricular activities including five/six workshops hosted by practitioners (three hours during the day each) six/seven social events (in evening hours) one lunch with your PwC coach and one company visit to a PwC client (half a day). The highlight of the year is a Business Game abroad to a surprise destination which will take place from October 30th to November 1st. It is mandatory to attend the Business Game. All of these events are organized in consultation with ESE so there are no conflicts with your study schedule. You will be awarded a Certificate upon completing the Class.

Entry requirements and application
Students who want to apply for the Honours Master Class have to be enrolled and accepted for the MSc in Accounting Auditing and Control at ESE. Furthermore it is your responsibility to attend 90% of the hosted events. No preparation is required for the events. You can apply by means of the following procedure:

Submit your application including resume academic transcript and a (one-page) letter of motivation to Dr. Wenjiao Cao and Dr. Yijun Li before September 13th 23:59 via the email:
In addition the student has to apply at PwC with a resume and letter of motivation before September 13th 23.59
After your application you will be admitted for an online assessment.
After review of your full application package and upon successful completion of the online assessment selected candidates will be interviewed by the selection committee.
Mid-October you will be notified if you are admitted for the Honours Master Class.
You will be admitted to the Honours Master Class conditional upon being admitted to the master.
