• Planning organizing and executing product development and research projects.
• Mining of ideas feasibility studies and developing chemistry related to the application area.
• Extensive laboratory formulation work.
• Testing & validation of products meeting performance cost and HSE specifications.
• Evaluation of raw materials to improve performance or reduce cost.
• Responsible for maintenance of products within the assigned application area.
• Supporting production in scale up of new developed formulas.
• Investigating off spec batches recommending modifications or ways to optimize existing blending equipment as well as researching new blending equipment/processes as needed.
• On-site customer visits to better understand customer requirement.

• Actively contribute to a clean and safe working environment including the responsibilities as mentioned in the employee handbook
• Report unsafe behavior and situations
• Follow offered safety trainings and courses

• Master or PhD degree in chemistry
• Preferably knowledge of emulsifier systems and lubricant formulations
• Strong chemical knowledge
• Fluent in English (knowledge of the Dutch language recommended)
