You will join General Affairs (GA) the department that connects strategy with implementation streamlines institutional processes and strengthens collaboration across the university. General Affairs supports TU/e in maximizing its societal impact by enabling effective governance reducing institutional risk fostering a safe inclusive and thriving campus and building strategic partnerships withinBrainportand beyond. Through these efforts the department supports TU/es core missions in education research innovation and societal impact.
As PolicyAdvisorInformation Institutional Strategy you will be part of the Strategy domain and report functionally to the Strategic Domain Lead addition you will be supported by a Competence Manager who focuses on your professional development project staffing and fostering a culture aligned with TU/esvalues.
About the role
As Policy Advisor Information Institutional Strategy youare responsible fordeveloping coordinating and continuously improving TU/es strategic management information framework. You translate the ambitions of the Institutional Plan into meaningfulmanagementinformation performance indicators and integrated reporting that support evidence-based decision-making.
Working under the direction of the Strategic Domain Lead Strategy you collaborate across organizational boundaries with the Strategic Domain Leads for Education ResearchValorization and Operations as well as with faculties and university services. You playan important rolein connecting information flows aligning stakeholders and strengthening end-to-end collaboration so that strategic information supports integrated decision-making throughout the university.
What you will do
- Develop coordinate and continuously improve TU/es strategic management information framework in support of institutional planning governance monitoring and decision-making.
- Translate theobjectivesof the Institutional Plan into measurable performance indicators strategic dashboards and integrated management reports.
- Advisethe Executive Board Strategic Domain Leads Deans and Directors on strategic information needs and performance management.
- Developmaintain andmonitora university-wide framework of qualitative and quantitative Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) linked to the Institutional Plan.
- Analyzeinstitutional performanceidentifytrends and risks andprovideactionable management insights.
- Coordinate the preparation of strategic reports for governance planning and accountability purposes.
- Translate strategicobjectivesand information requirements into integrated dashboards and reporting solutions in close collaboration with the Business Intelligence (BI) team.
- Safeguard the consistency quality and accessibility of strategic information across the university and promote data-informed decision-making.
- Develop and coordinate TU/es strategic approach to international university rankings and benchmarking.
- Collaborate with faculties and university services to improve data quality and institutional performance whileanalyzingexternal developments andadvising onopportunities to strengthen TU/es international position.
- Strengthen end-to-end collaboration across faculties and university services by connecting strategic processes information flows and performance management.
- Ensure alignment between strategicobjectives operational execution and organizational performance.
- Build andmaintainstrong relationships with the Executive Board Strategic Domain Leads Deans Directors project managers information analysts and other stakeholders.
- Act as the link between strategy Business Intelligence faculties and university servicesfacilitatingdialogue alignment and commitment around strategic performance management.
What you bring
Experience
- A masters degree or an equivalent academic level of working and thinking.
- Demonstrated experience in strategicmanagementinformation performance management business intelligence or institutional planning.
- Experience with governance KPI development dashboard development and strategic reporting.
- Experience managing stakeholders in a complex organizational environment andadvisingsenior leadership.
- Affinity with higher education and the universitys core domains: Education Research KnowledgeValorization and Operations.

- Given the current implementation phase of the TU/e Institutional Plan this position is initially offered as a one-year appointment. Upon successful performance and subject to the availability of structural funding there is the prospect of a permanent position.
- Salary in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities scale 11 ranging from 4.925- to 6.682- gross base salary per month (full-time) depending on your knowledge and experience.
- In addition to your base salary you will receive an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% year-end bonus both calculated based on your annual gross base salary.
- As a TU/e employee you participate in the ABP pension scheme providing retirement pension and pension benefits for surviving dependents and occupational disability. TU/e pays 70% of the pension premium while employees contribute the remaining 30%.
