Role purpose:
The Net Zero Global Procurement Business Partner leads and supports assigned activities associated with delivering and reporting on Arcadis sustainability ambitions for our supply base with a strong focus on decarbonization of our supply chains.
The Procurement Business Partner acts as a practical counterpart and advisor to procurement and business stakeholders translating Net Zero requirements into usable guidance supplier engagement process improvements and reporting support.
This role will have selected workstreams and project deliverables independently owned and delivered in line with the strategy for Global Sustainable Procurement and with a special focus on Arcadis Net Zero mission.
Role responsibilities
- Lead or co-lead targeted Net Zero / Scope 3 workstreams with clearly defined deliverables while managing day-to-day stakeholder relationships across procurement Arcadis business lines and selected suppliers.
- Provide practical instructions advice and training to Category Procurement Directors buyers and relevant business stakeholders on how to improve sustainability performance and contribution to Net Zero commitments.
- Support supplier development and collaboration with selected suppliers to improve greenhouse gas reporting target setting decarbonisation planning and delivery of shared sustainability performance.
- Contribute to the development implementation and monitoring of category sustainability/risk strategies aligned with Arcadis sustainability values and commitments.
- Participate in relevant professional partnerships strategic networks or industry working groups where this directly supports Arcadis Net Zero procurement agenda.
- Support the building and roll-out of selected global Sustainable Procurement processes tools dashboards and AI-enabled solutions.
- Help shape and implement practical process improvements that strengthen sustainable procurement practices including change management activities.
- Develop and deliver internal and external training on Sustainable Procurement processes policies and systems including supplier GHG reporting processes such as CDP or equivalent.
- Support internal and external reporting and communications including coordination of inputs for non-financial reporting where relevant.
- Help guide and navigate changes to sustainable procurement practice across the organisation promoting adoption of new processes tools and partnerships.
- Collaborates with Sustainable/riskProcurement team and Sustainable Procurement Director.
- Interface with Sustainability/riskdepartment and Sustainability Advisory colleagues for strategic and operational alignment.
- Interface with procurement community business and enabling functions to support advice and drive change and ownership.
Qualifications & Experience:
The successful candidate will need to be degree qualified ideally in engineering business administration sustainability supply chain procurement or a related discipline.
They will need to demonstrate relevant professional experience in sustainability and supply chains ideally including experience supporting or rolling out cross-regional or global programmes.
They must have a thorough understanding of Scope 3 decarbonisation approaches for the supply base and enough Net Zero knowledge to contribute credibly from day one.
They will need strong project management and interpersonal skills including the ability to prioritise work follow through on deliverables and coordinate inputs from others to meet deadlines.
They will need experience building relationships with stakeholders internal clients and suppliers to identify and deliver practical solutions aligned with Arcadis sustainability ambitions.
They will need to be pragmatic hands-on quality-oriented able to work independently and remotely comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to engage internationally across time zones
