Microsoft Purview Analyst – Data Governance

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Purview Analyst to support data governance data cataloging compliance and data management initiatives.

The successful candidate will design develop and deploy solutions using Microsoft Purview while integrating it with Azure data services and enterprise data platforms. You will work closely with data architects analysts IT teams data stewards and business stakeholders to establish effective data governance practices across the organization.

• Design develop and deploy Microsoft Purview solutions for data governance cataloging and compliance.
• Integrate Microsoft Purview with various enterprise data sources and platforms.
• Establish and maintain:
  • Data lineage
  • Metadata management
  • Data catalogs
  • Governance workflows
  • Data discovery processes
• Configure data classification labeling and sensitivity policies.
• Ensure data governance solutions align with business standards security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with data architects analysts and IT teams to identify and map enterprise data sources.
• Implement and enforce data governance best practices.
• Maintain and optimize Microsoft Purview services.
• Support data quality security accessibility and compliance across the organization.
• Work with Azure services and data platforms to ensure effective integration and governance.
• Monitor troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Purview services and integrations.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation governance workflows and best-practice guidelines.
• Provide training and guidance to data stewards and business users.
• Support continuous improvement of enterprise data governance processes.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience developing and deploying solutions with Microsoft Purview or comparable data governance platforms.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data services including:
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Azure SQL Database
  • Azure Blob Storage
• Strong understanding of data governance principles including:
  • Metadata management
  • Data cataloging
  • Data lineage
  • Data classification
  • Compliance and governance frameworks
• Experience with data integration and ETL pipelines.
• Knowledge of data modeling and enterprise data structures.
• Understanding of security and compliance requirements relating to data governance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication documentation and stakeholder management skills.

• Dutch language proficiency at B2 level including reading writing and speaking.
• Experience with Power BI or other data visualization and reporting tools.
• Scripting experience with Python or PowerShell.
• Experience automating Microsoft Purview configurations or data governance processes.
• Experience implementing data governance strategies in multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as:

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Microsoft Purview and Azure data governance professional with strong knowledge of enterprise data management. You should be comfortable working across technical and business teams and able to translate data governance requirements into practical scalable solutions.

Experience in large-scale enterprise environments and knowledge of regulatory compliance will be highly valued.
