Your role:
Were in business to save our home planet. This role supports the development and execution of channel-specific product assortments across our Retail (14 stores) in EMEA region. By applying merchandising expertise and collaborating with planning marketing and channel teams the role contributes to optimized product lifecycle management in-season trading and campaign alignment. Through data-informed decisions and stakeholder engagement the Channel Merchandiser helps ensure that the product offering reflects Patagonias brand values meets commercial goals and resonates with customers across channels.
Main tasks:
Seasonal Assortment Planning. Build channel-specific product assortments using lifecycle management principles and productivity analysis supported by internal planning processes and reporting tools. Ensure assortments align with business goals brand positioning and channel-specific needs. Manage 3rd partys product in creating assortment oversee allocation and performance of these products.
Forecasting & In-Season Trading. Supports monthly forecasts and assess in-season performance using available sales data and reporting procedures in collaboration with the Channel Planner. Drive trading actions and inform future assortment decisions to optimize inventory productivity.
Market & Channel Insights. Gather and report on market feedback trend shifts and customer insights through direct interactions with stores dealers or digital performance reviews. Share findings with the Business Unit buying team to support product relevance and responsiveness to trends.
Go-to-Market & Stakeholder Engagement. Prepare and present seasonal assortments to internal stakeholders for the applicable channel using established planning formats and presentation routines. Ensure assortment relevance and execution across the channels go-to-market process.
Campaign & Lifecycle Coordination. Coordinate product lifecycle actions and campaign alignment by collaborating with Marketing and Supply teams monitoring supply timelines and preparing discontinued merchandise lists. Support seasonal storytelling and inventory efficiency in line with channel discount strategy.
What were looking for:
An inclusive mindset
Minimum 5 years of experience in channel merchandising or relevant areas
Full understanding of merchandising and assortment planning applied to build channel-specific assortments that balance lifecycle productivity and brand positioning
Good analytical and forecasting capability used to interpret sales performance identify trading opportunities and inform future assortment decisions
Full understanding of cross-functional collaboration enabling effective coordination with Planning Marketing channel teams
Good communication and presentation skills used to share seasonal priorities present assortments and report market insights to internal stakeholders
Good proficiency in data handling and reporting tools used to manage assortment data generate performance reports and support decision-making across the merchandising calendar.

This is a temporary Full-time position based in Amsterdam to support the team until April 2027
We have a hybrid work model working from home for maximum 3 days per week
