- Lead regional trade compliance activities across Great Britain Ireland Europe and the Middle East.
- Ensure adherence to international trade laws customs regulations export controls sanctions programs and internal compliance policies.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on McCains business operations.
- Oversee import and export classification valuation and origin determinations.
- Provide strategic direction on Free Trade Agreement (FTA) utilization and duty optimization opportunities.
- Maintain audit readiness and support trade compliance audits assessments and corrective action plans.
- Manage and maintain Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) and equivalent trusted trader program certifications where applicable.
- Develop and deliver trade compliance training and awareness programs for internal stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate trade documentation regulatory filings and compliance reporting including evolving EU requirements such as CBAM reporting.
- Partner with Procurement Logistics Legal Public Relations and Food Regulatory teams to support new products market expansion activities and strategic business initiatives.
- Bachelors degree in International Business Supply Chain Law or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in global trade compliance preferably within the food agriculture manufacturing or consumer goods industries.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations customs compliance export controls sanctions HS classification and Free Trade Agreements.
- Experience managing compliance audits investigations risk assessments and remediation activities.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience developing and facilitating training programs and compliance communications.
- Familiarity with trade compliance platforms and ERP systems such as SAP GTS Oracle GTM or similar technologies.
- Professional certifications such as the IOE&IT Diploma in World Customs Compliance & Regulations EU Diploma in International Trade Compliance or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience with AEO programs is highly desirable.
- Ability to travel up to 25% within Great Britain and Europe.
