Lead Cloud Architect

We are seeking an experienced Lead Cloud Architect with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Infrastructure as Code and enterprise cloud this role you will define technology standards shape the future state of GCP services and lead the design and implementation of secure scalable and costefficient cloud solutions.

You will collaborate closely with Product Owners Scrum Masters System Architects FinOps stakeholders and engineering teams to build and operate platform services that meet enterprise security compliance and performance requirements. This role requires strong leadership hands-on technical capability and a proven track record in designing cloud architectures at scale.

• Define technology standards reference architectures guiding principles and solution building blocks for GCP services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and operate Google Cloud platform services.
• Lead the design and implementation of Identity & Access Management (IAM) across GCP including service accounts org policies and modern authentication patterns.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code automation using Terraform and reusable modules.
• Support engineering teams with hands-on IaC development and automation best practices.
• Partner with FinOps to embed billing visibility cost control and optimization into platform services.
• Ensure security compliance and quality through design reviews implementation validation and continuous improvement.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to cloud best practices patterns and documentation.
• Build proofs of concept and proofs of value for new GCP capabilities.
• Maintain high-quality cloud design documentation and architectural artifacts.

• 10 years of experience in cloud engineering or architecture roles.
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Extensive experience with Terraform IaC pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Solid understanding of cloud billing models cost allocation and optimization strategies.
• Strong scripting and troubleshooting skills using Python and Bash.
• Experience designing enterprise-level account structures and security models in GCP.
• Hands-on experience with PaaS offerings containerized workloads (GKE) and serverless services (Cloud Run).
• Experience operating cloud platforms at enterprise scale with a focus on security compliance reliability and performance.
• Deep knowledge of cloud-based delivery models and data integration patterns.
• Engineering and coding skills applied in agile environments.
• Knowledge of architecture methodologies such as TOGAF.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and DevOps principles (you build it you run it).
• Proven track record in roadmapping technical architecture design and solution definition.
