Job Summary

 

The Laboratory Chemical Analyst performs analytical testing sampling data verification and laboratory support activities to ensure product quality regulatory compliance and operational excellence. The role supports production manufacturing and quality control teams through accurate laboratory analysis and timely reporting of results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine chemical physical and instrumental analyses on process samples raw materials intermediates and finished products.
  • Conduct laboratory testing using analytical techniques such as GC HPLC spectroscopy wet chemistry elemental analysis and emission measurements where applicable.
  • Prepare samples calibrate instruments and maintain laboratory equipment according to established procedures.
  • Verify analytical data investigate deviations and ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Support troubleshooting activities by providing analytical insights to operations and manufacturing teams.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory quality systems including ISO 17025 and other relevant industry standards.
  • Maintain laboratory records documentation and reports in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in data collection information gathering and technical investigations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to laboratory processes safety and efficiency.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve technical queries and provide analytical support.

 


    Qualifications :

    Technical Requirements

    • Degree or diploma in Chemistry Analytical Chemistry Chemical Technology Laboratory Science or a related discipline.
    • Experience working in an industrial petrochemical refinery environmental or manufacturing laboratory environment.
    • Knowledge of analytical instrumentation and laboratory quality systems.
    • Understanding of laboratory safety procedures and chemical handling requirements.
    • Familiarity with data management systems and laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is an advantage.
    • Knowledge of ISO 17025 and environmental testing standards is preferred.
