As a Kubernetes Platform Engineer you will:
- Manage Kubernetes clusters in production including operations upgrades patching and troubleshooting
- Handle Kubernetes provisioning and lifecycle management using Rancher RKE2
- Administer and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure (IAM VPC EC2 EKS Load Balancers Route 53 CloudWatch)
- Ensure high availability performance tuning and scalability of containerized environments
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions
- Monitor systems using observability tools (metrics logs alerts) and handle incident management
- Perform root-cause analysis and drive post-incident improvements
- Maintain documentation such as architecture diagrams runbooks SOPs and onboarding guides
- Support Kubernetes networking including ingress DNS TLS routing and firewall configurations
- Drive automation and infrastructure improvements using scripting and tools like Terraform
What You Bring to the Table:
- Experience in Kubernetes cloud infrastructure and DevOps/SRE roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes production operations and cluster management
- Expertise in Rancher RKE2 or similar Kubernetes distributions
- Solid experience working with AWS cloud services (IAM EC2 EKS networking monitoring)
- Strong Linux administration skills including system hardening and troubleshooting
- Deep understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP DNS TLS and load balancing
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like GitHub
- Proven experience in monitoring alerting and incident management
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
- Familiarity with GitOps tools such as Argo CD Flux Helm and Kustomize
- Exposure to security tools like OPA Gatekeeper Kyverno and image scanning tools
- Certifications such as CKA CKAD CKS or AWS certifications (preferred)
You should possess the ability to:
