Job Description

Your primary responsibility is to coordinate all activities related to Service Projects (Retrofit Modifications and Revisions). This includes sales specifications execution (installation) and service handover.

You will manage multiple projects simultaneously and functionally report to the Group Leader Service Projects Airports. Due to the dynamic and multidisciplinary environment you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (managers project engineers sales engineering R&D HLC IT and procurement) as well as external parties (customers subcontractors and engineering firms).

In this role you represent the interests of your Service Projects in a highly demanding complex project environment. You are responsible for achieving the best overall project results for both Vanderlande and the customer considering planning quality and cost.

Your Responsibilities
  • Manage RMR Service Projects from sales through to handover (integrating Sales Engineering and Project Management) ensuring both customer satisfaction and strong financial performance

  • Support Key Account and Service Managers in defining winning strategies and lead RMR developments in regions branches and major accounts

  • Take full responsibility for project performance (financials planning and customer satisfaction)

  • Act as the escalation point and single point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding operational and technical issues

  • Drive the development and professionalization of RMR ways of working across regions

  • Align processes and ways of working with relevant internal stakeholders within Vanderlande

  • Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental standards on-site

Your Profile
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a technical or business-related field

  • Open to both starters and mid-level experienced candidates

  • Ability to elevate project teams and successfully deliver projects with high customer satisfaction

  • Experience working in matrix organizations with both hierarchical and functional reporting lines

  • Affinity with controls and IT is preferred

  • Experience working in organizations with remote operations

  • Flexible leadership style able to operate across cultures and regions with varying maturity levels

  • Strong focus on both qualitative and quantitative performance

  • Background in automated handling systems capital goods or system integration is a strong plus

  • Understanding of the business-critical nature of systems

Personal Characteristics
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Dutch is preferred)

  • Experience in leadership and team building

  • Customer-focused and service-oriented mindset

  • Accurate structured solution- and results-driven

  • Persuasive and able to influence stakeholders constructively

  • Strong organizational skills able to set priorities with a helicopter view

  • Willingness to travel worldwide (on average 20% of your time)

  • Bachelor starter (no experience): 3432 gross per month

  • Master starter (no experience): 3806 gross per month

  • Experienced candidates:gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance)
