Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support the successful delivery of several technical Research & Technology (R&T) and innovation projects for one of our clients.

In this role you will work closely with Project Leaders technical teams and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring projects remain on track in terms of planning budget deliverables risks and quality.

A key part of the role will be translating complex technical developments into clear actions reports and project deliverables while ensuring effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Several projects may involve public funding contractual requirements budgets and formal project deliverables. You will therefore play an important role in monitoring contractual and financial obligations and ensuring that project requirements are properly managed and fulfilled.

You will work closely with project leadership engineers other project managers and supporting functions such as Finance and Legal.

Your Role & Responsibilities :

  • Monitor project schedules milestones deliverables and budgets.
  • Support Project Leaders in the structured execution of technical R&T and innovation projects.
  • Monitor technical deliverables and translate complex technical developments into clear actions reports and project documentation.
  • Manage project budgets contracts risks and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate contractual and reporting obligations related to publicly funded projects.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders including Engineering Finance Legal and Communications.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders including industry partners knowledge institutes universities and governmental organisations.
  • Maintain project documentation progress reports risk registers and KPIs.
  • Facilitate workshops and project meetings using appropriate methodologies such as Lean Agile Scrum or Design Thinking.
  • Support the preparation of project proposals for national and EU-funded R&T and innovation projects.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes governance and ways of working.

Qualifications :

  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Business Administration Project Management or a related field.
  • Approximately 25 years of relevant project management experience.
  • Experience managing stakeholders within complex organisations or projects.
  • Demonstrable experience managing budgets contracts and project risks.
  • Sufficient technical understanding to work effectively with engineers and understand technical project deliverables.
  • Strong organisational communication and reporting skills.
  • Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Experience with publicly funded research projects research consortia or public-private partnerships is a strong advantage.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies and/or a project management certification such as PMP IPMA or Scrum is a plus.
  • Experience within aerospace high-tech innovation energy transition or another technically complex environment is highly desirable.

Candidates with significantly more than 5 years of relevant project management experience may be considered overqualified for the scope and level of this position.
