We are seeking a Junior Privacy Lawyer / Legal Technologist to support privacy compliance activities and improve insight into data processing within systems and organisational processes.

This role combines legal expertise with technology and data analysis. You will work closely with senior privacy specialists information security professionals and internal stakeholders to support GDPR compliance privacy documentation risk assessments and improvements to data processing processes.

You will contribute to practical solutions that help the organisation manage privacy risks and strengthen its data governance.

• Support the handling of privacy-related questions requests and issues
• Assist with GDPR compliance activities
• Draft privacy documentation advice and guidance materials
• Support privacy reviews of processes applications and systems

• Assist with preparing and updating:
  • Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
  • Processing registers
  • Privacy-related documentation
• Support investigations into data breaches and privacy incidents
• Identify privacy risks and contribute to mitigation measures

• Map information flows applications and personal data processing activities
• Analyse how systems process and store data
• Support understanding of technical aspects of data processing
• Connect legal privacy requirements with technical solutions and processes

• Work closely with:
  • Privacy lawyers
  • Information security specialists
  • IT teams
  • Business stakeholders
• Support knowledge sharing and privacy awareness initiatives
• Contribute to improving privacy processes across the organisation

• Improved GDPR compliance documentation
• Updated DPIAs and processing registers
• Clear mapping of data flows and processing activities
• Identification and documentation of privacy risks
• Practical privacy advice and recommendations
• Improved collaboration between legal privacy and technical teams

• Completed HBO or university degree in Law
• Preferably specialised in:
  • Privacy Law
  • ICT Law
  • Data Protection Law
• Knowledge of:
  • GDPR (AVG)
  • Dutch privacy legislation including WGS
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• Accurate and detail-oriented working style
• Ability to connect legal requirements with technical processes
• Motivation to develop further in privacy technology and data governance

• 12 years of relevant experience in privacy law legal advice or compliance
• Experience supporting GDPR projects
• Experience with DPIAs and processing registers
• Familiarity with information systems and data processes
• Experience working at the intersection of law and technology

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Ability to translate complex legal topics into practical advice
• Interest in technology and digital processes
• Proactive and eager-to-learn mindset
• Strong collaboration skills

You will join a privacy team working on strengthening data protection and compliance. The role combines legal advisory work with practical technology-focused activities making it ideal for a junior legal professional interested in developing expertise in privacy data and digital transformation.

This assignment is a temporary replacement due to long-term absence with the possibility of extension. The position must be performed on an employment basis.
