What will you do

As a Sales Representative you will be an important point of contact for customers within the Southern European region working from our internal sales department.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining daily contact with customers by phone and email

• Handling and following up on incoming commercial enquiries

• Preparing processing and following up on quotations and pricing requests

• Processing checking and following up on customer orders in our ERP system

• Responding to customer enquiries and ensuring fast and professional follow-up

• Maintaining existing customer relationships and contributing to the further development of our customer base

• Working with e-procurement platforms such as ShipServ and Procureship

• Advising customers on maritime products brands and equipment

• Identifying commercial opportunities and developing them together with the Account Managers

• Working closely with colleagues in Purchasing and Logistics to provide customers with the best possible service

• Assisting with the coordination of deliveries and logistical arrangements

• Ensuring accurate and timely administrative processing of commercial activities

Lavastica International is a fast-growing trading company that has been supplying technical parts for the shipping offshore and industrial sectors since 1998. In addition to supplying parts we also provide technical service and repair. The organization has an informal atmosphere where a personal approach and short lines of communication are central.

As a service technician you are our field service representative and play an extremely important role within our company.

Your role within the sales team

At Lavastica we work with several international sales teams each responsible for its own region market and customer this position your focus will be on the Southern European region and you will work closely with the Account Managers within this team.

Who are you

We are looking for an enthusiastic commercially driven and proactive colleague who feels at home in an international environment and preferably already has experience within the maritime and shipping industry.

You communicate easily with customers work accurately and are able to effectively combine commercial and administrative responsibilities.

In addition:

• You have at least MBO level education or equivalent working and thinking level preferably with a commercial background

• You preferably have at least 2 years of experience in an internal sales sales support or similar commercial role

• You have experience within the maritime and/or shipping industry

• You are fluent in French and have strong professional communication skills in French

• You have a good command of English

• Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage but not a requirement

• You have experience preparing commercial quotations and processing and following up on orders

• You have experience working with an ERP system; experience with Exact Online is an advantage

• Experience with e-procurement platforms such as ShipServ and Procureship is a strong advantage

• You preferably have good product knowledge of relevant maritime brands equipment and technical products

• You are customer-focused commercially minded and have a keen eye for detail

• You have strong communication and administrative skills

• You are independent proactive accurate and eager to learn

• You enjoy working as part of an international commercial team
