At Vanderlande we are looking for an Information Security Governance & Compliance Officer who will play a key role in strengthening our internal cybersecurity this position you will help ensure that our IT organization operates in line with security policies regulatory requirements and industry best practices while supporting teams in embedding security into their daily way of working.

What will you be doing
As an Information Security Governance & Compliance Officer you will be part of the 1st Line Security function and act as the link between security governance and operational IT teams. You will support the adoption of security standards monitor compliance and drive continuous improvement across our IT landscape.
You will work closely with Product Owners architects technical specialists and other stakeholders to ensure security requirements are understood implemented and consistently maintained.
Your responsibilities
Translate information security policies governance requirements and regulatory obligations into practical and sustainable operational processes.
Support IT and product teams in implementing and maintaining security controls within their daily activities.
Build awareness of security requirements and provide guidance to teams on governance and compliance topics.
Monitor compliance with established security controls identify improvement opportunities and support remediation activities.
Coordinate and maintain audit evidence and documentation required for internal and external assessments.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of security governance processes control frameworks and compliance practices.
What do we ask from you
You bring a combination of information security expertise stakeholder management skills and a structured approach to governance and compliance.
Qualifications and experience
Bachelors degree in Information Security Computer Science Information Management Business IT or a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
Approximately 57 years of experience in information security governance IT compliance risk management audit or a related field.
Practical experience working with security and control frameworks such as ISO 27001 NIST or similar standards.
Experience supporting internal and external audits including evidence collection and control validation.
Experience collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to integrate security controls into operational processes.
Professional certifications such as CISSP CGRC CISM Security or equivalent are considered an advantage.
Skills and competencies
Ability to translate governance requirements into clear and actionable guidance.
Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
Analytical and detail-oriented with a structured and process-focused approach.
Comfortable working with documentation audit tooling and compliance reporting.
Self-motivated proactive and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
Fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch is beneficial or you are willing to further develop your Dutch language skills.
About the team
You will join the Enterprise Architecture & Governance team within Vanderlande ICT. This multidisciplinary team plays a strategic role in areas such as Cyber Security Enterprise Architecture Data & Analytics and IT Asset Management.
Together we support the development of secure scalable and future-ready technology solutions across the organization. The team combines deep expertise with a collaborative culture providing opportunities to learn contribute and grow professionally.
