Job Summary

We are a family business and are owners of the Chinese-Indonesian restaurant Tong Ah for 24 recent years we have developed our cuisine from traditional Chinese-Indonesian to a broader Asian cuisine including Japanese influences such as sushi and teppanyaki. About a year and a half ago we renovated our restaurant and continued under the name Nola Asian Cuisine. Tong Ah continues to exist as our takeaway concept.

Tasks
  • Selecting and preparing (washing cutting mixing etc.)
  • Conducting intermediate checks (doneness taste color etc.) and making adjustments as needed.
  • Ensuring consistent quality and hygiene.
  • Supervising the work of kitchen assistants and making corrections where necessary.
  • Keeping track of stock levels ordering ingredients and checking deliveries.
  • Daily cleaning of the work environment kitchen equipment and workstations.
  • Reporting technical faults and resolving minor issues.
  • Providing input regarding the composition and adjustments of menus the menu list and working methods
Requirements
  • You take independent initiative and act solution-oriented.
  • You work with conviction and dare to take responsibility.
  • MBO-3 work and thinking level (If you dont meet the requirements apply anyway!)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
