ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Join us at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a GTS Engineer II! In this role youll contribute to maintaining and optimizing our enterprise systems and infrastructure. Youll ensure system reliability implement security measures and support our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier cleaner and safer. Working with advanced technologies including cloud platforms virtualization and enterprise applications youll collaborate with teams to deliver excellent technical solutions and support.

REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced Degree no prior experience required or Bachelors Degree plus 2 years of experience in enterprise systems administration and infrastructure support
Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or related field
Advanced technical certifications preferred (e.g. AWS Azure VMware MCSE SAP)
Strong expertise in Windows Server administration and infrastructure management
Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware Hyper-V)
Experience with backup systems disaster recovery and business continuity planning
Knowledge of networking concepts DNS DHCP and security protocols
Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell Python or similar languages
Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow for incident and change management
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis
Strong documentation and technical writing skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for working with diverse teams
Available for rotating on-call and emergency support as needed
GxP/FDA regulated environment experience preferred
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects
Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices
Strong problem-solving abilities
