As ourGroup Risk & Internal Control Manager youoperateat the heart of our globalorganisationreporting totheDirectorRisk Management andInternal Auditandworking closely withtheGroup Internal Audit Managerandkey stakeholders across regions business areas and group functions.

Thisisnota steady-staterole.Youwillplay a key role in buildingandmaturingourriskandinternalcontrolcapabilitiesshiftingtowardsproactiveembeddedrisk managementpracticesthatenable andsupport business performance.

You act as a trusted second-line sparring partnerto the business guidingstakeholdersinidentifying managing and mitigatingBDRThermeaGroups keyrisks.

You will collaborate with a global network of local risk & control representatives (our SPOC community) and use modern tools and methodologies to bring consistency transparency and continuous improvement to our governance practices.

This isa hybrid role based in Apeldoorn the Netherlands. We value flexibility and collaboration: you are encouraged to spend at leasttwo days per week in the office while enjoying support for your home office setup and this role you can expect to travelup to10-20% of your time to local operating companies.

Your key tasks

• Act as a second-line advisor and challenger overseeing the end-to-end risk management cycle across theorganisation including conducting risk assessmentsidentifyingvulnerabilities and proposing mitigation strategies to senior management.

• Coordinate with local Risk & Internal Control representatives to ensure consistency and adoption of frameworks and the GRC tool across theorganisation.

• Oversee and support the design implementation and continuous improvement of internal control frameworks across regions business areas development units and support functions.

• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies and internal controlsprovidingactionable insights to senior management.

• Oversee and support policy management activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Enable the business by providing tools training and best practices to strengthen risk awareness and foster a strongcontrolculture.

What you bring

• Minimum of57 years of experience in risk management internal control or audit in an international corporate or consultancy environment.

• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g. COSO) and regulatory complianceacross functions.

• Experience working in international cross-functional environments with diverse stakeholders.

• Ability to translate complex topics into clear insights and actions for stakeholders at all levels.

• A proactive hands-on mindset: you spot opportunities take ownership and drive improvements.

• ABachelorsorMasters Degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration ora relatedfield.
