Responsibilities
Delivery
Definesthegrantactivity planningfollowingestablishedproject-managementpractices compilation ofaGANTTchartsandthe identification of acritical path for the project.
Managesday-to-day activities in projectimplementationattentivelymonitoringprogress onthe yearly plantracking performanceindicatorsandmaking sure that any deviation from the plan is promptly addressed or escalated.
Overseesproject-management aspectsensuring compliance with donor requirements operational goodpracticeandprogramobjectives.
Leadsthe grantnarrativereportingprocess including tracking deadlinescoordinatingand reviewing inputs from implementing teamsand ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
Reviews legal instrumentsforthird parties (MoUs serviceagreementsand grant agreements) ensuring alignment with programsobjectives budget and deliverables managing senior leadershipvalidation and signatures.
Supports activities and consultancies for impact measurement including reviewing MEL consultancies research projects and case studies assessing deliverables quality and stewardship with donor reporting requirements.
In collaboration with Financeprovidesoversightoverfinancial managementof the project both in terms of compliance with donor regulation and performance against the budget.
Approves financial expenditure related to program activities ensuring alignment with programobjectives contractual obligations with externalpartnersand budget provisions.
Reviews fundraising proposals prepared by the fundraising team to ensure alignment with current programs and team capacity and supports Finance in developing the associated budgets for activities and teams.
Engagement
Supportsorganizational leadershipand the fundraising teamin engagement with the donorbyproviding insights into theprogress of the project andsupport on queries and information requests.
Requirements
Workexperience
Qualification in Business Administration Management Economics ora related field.
Previousexperience in a similar role ( donor-funded projects grant writing for non-profit organizations) in an international environment.
Experience ofmanaging multi-country multi-year grants with institutional donors.
Project-managementqualificationis an asset.
Experience with design & management as well as monitoring & evaluation for development projects and programs or a strong willingness toacquirethese skills quickly through formal and on-the-job training.
Knowledge and abilities
Abilitytooperationalizeprojectseffectivelybreakingdownthe path to projectoutcomes into outputs and activitiesandestablishingreliable performance indicators.
Excellentorganizational skills ability to prepare activity plans engageand coordinate multiple stakeholders.
Flexibility and capability to perform on a broad range of areasfromcapacity buildingtofinancial managementmonitoring and evaluationandnarrative reporting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
Strong analytical skills and desirable experience withPowerBI Excel or other analytical tools.
Attentive to detailwith strong organizational and time management skills.
Proactive and results-driven with the ability to build andmaintainstrong work relationships internally and externally.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment where change is ongoing.
Abletowork in an international and multi-cultural setting.
Affinity with the mission of GRI.
Perks of the role
Location: Remote (Hybrid if in the Netherlands; within /- 6 hours CET; (candidates must have an existing valid permit to work in the country they will be based)
Work hours: Full-time (40hrs/week; flexible)
Contract type: 1-year contract with the possibility of renewal
Base salary: 46051 - 51168 (European based range) per annum on full-time basis
