At Mars Veterinary Health Europe youll have the opportunity to play a key role in strengthening governance risk management and financial controls across a diverse multinational business. Working closely with finance and operational leaders youll help shape a culture of compliance continuous improvement and accountability across Europe.

In this role you will:

Lead the deployment and continuous improvement of governance and internal control frameworks across multiple European markets.

Partner with finance operational and leadership teams to strengthen risk management and financial compliance practices

Drive meaningful change through finance transformation process improvement and governance initiatives

Collaborate with auditors and stakeholders to identify risks remediate control gaps and ensure compliance.

Help develop a culture of ownership through training awareness programmes and governance best practices.

The team

Reporting to the Director of Governance & Control you will work across Mars Veterinary Health Europe in a multi-country environment. Youll collaborate with central and local finance teams business controllers and support functions to ensure robust governance frameworks are embedded throughout the organisation. The team supports both day-to-day control operations and strategic projects that drive long-term business excellence

What were looking for

Were seeking a governance and controls professional who is passionate about risk management continuous improvement and driving high standards of financial compliance.

Degree qualified in Finance Accounting or a related discipline. Professional qualifications such as ACCA CPA CMA CFA or CIA are highly desirable.

Minimum five years experience in finance accounting internal audit or internal controls

Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks financial regulations and accounting standards.

Experience conducting control testing risk assessments policy implementation and remediation planning.

Strong analytical and documentation skills including advanced Excel capabilities. Experience with ERP systems is essential whilst Power BI and experience would be advantageous
