Financial Controller Northern Europe

 At Rituals we are looking for a Financial Controller to join us on our journey to become  - and remain - the number one global luxury beauty this role you will help ensure a strong financial foundation for our Northern Europe region while growing your own career in a business that combines purpose with entrepreneurship.

As Financial Controller for Northern Europe your main focus will be on our BeNeLux entities. You will be responsible for the month-end close process working closely with the accounting assistants who prepare most journal entries. You will take ownership of the more complex analyses yourself and work in close partnership with Business Control and local teams. 

Your Accountabilities:

• Prepare local statutory financial statements across the Northern Europe region
• Support both local and group audit processes
• Oversee tax compliance activities including corporate income tax and VAT
• Support a broad range of Financial Control topics across the region
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within Financial Control
• Work closely with colleagues across departments and local markets
• Perform analytical reviews of the P&L and balance sheet
• Investigate variances and validate financial results
• Resolve ad hoc financial issues with accuracy and ownership
• Translate financial insights into meaningful input for monthly and quarterly reporting and business reviews

You thrive in an international corporate environment and feel at home in a role where accuracy collaboration and curiosity come together.

On top of this you have:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in Financial Control or external audit
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Dutch is strongly preferred
• Eligibility to work in the Netherlands (a valid work permit if applicable)
• A Bacelor or Master degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A critical but constructive mindset
• An approachable personality and a strong sense of ownership

You will spend most of your time at our Central Head Office in Amsterdam overlooking one of the citys most iconic canals.
