Job Summary
Senior School Leidschenveen (SSL) is looking for a part-time (0.4FTE Monday Thursday to include Wednesday all day) Dutch Teacher from August until December 2026.
At SSL language learning is valued with all students learning an additional language up to the age of 18. In the Modern Foreign Languages department all students can learn Dutch French German and Spanish. The Modern Foreign Languages department is lively and collaborative and the students we teach are motivated and ambitious. Excellent professional development opportunities are available and participation is encouraged. We support a range of other languages within the faculty for students wishing to sit qualifications in other languages. All staff and learners are issued with a device as a part of the schools 1:1 initiative.
The ideal candidate will be suitably qualified to teach and have experience of teaching Dutch as a second language. Experience of working in an international environment CNaVT examinations and the IBDP framework is desirable.
You will work in a lively and collaborative environment and be keen to promote Dutch within the school both inside and beyond the classroom. The successful candidate will have the skills to inspire students with an enthusiasm for learning.
Dutch is taught in ability sets in Years 7-9. alongside German French and Spanish. Students can take the CNaVT exam at A2 level in Year 9 (14yrs old) and A2 or B1 level at the end of Year 11 (16 yrs old). In the last two years of school Dutch is part of the IBDP framework as either a Language A or B.
The salary range for this position is 451615 - 614586 gross EUR monthly (full-time) depending on experience. All figures shown are including the 9% holiday allowance.
