Job Summary

Are you interested in embedded software and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) And do you want to create products that make a real difference to people with hearing difficulties

We are looking for a DSP Software Developer who is enthusiastic about audio sound technology problem solving algorithms and optimization.

We welcome candidates from all experience levels whether you are just graduating have a few years of experience or bring senior expertise. What matters most to us is your aptitude and your genuine interest in audio technology problem solving algorithms and optimization.

The team you will be part of:

You will be part of our local Scrum team working together with 8 other software teams (in a SAFe framework) with one common goal: bringing new features to market as efficiently as possible with a focus on innovation.

The position is located at our Eindhoven R&D site Center-of-Excellence for Intelligent Audio Solutions. Our site consists of 25 people and is located on the campus of Eindhoven University of Technology. Here you will work in a friendly close-nit atmosphere and at the same time be part of a large global company. Including you the immediate team consists of 8 people in total. We are a diverse team working closely together enjoying our daily interactions and meetings in the office. We also work in near collaboration with departments at our HQ in Ballerup (Denmark).

Your contribution is appreciated and you will:

  • Develop and implement new algorithms as well as refine existing ones

  • Develop adapt and optimize these algorithms onto our ultra-low-power DSP platform

  • Create efficient and maintainable code

  • Be responsible for the testing of your team deliveries to ensure high quality (module tests unit tests and electrical input/output tests)

  • Investigate and fix defects found in our platform

  • Translate product requirements to clear development tasks according to the agile scrum development methodology

  • Deliver realistic effort estimates on development tasks

  • Write and maintain concise yet comprehensive technical documentation

To succeed in the role we imagine that you:

  • Hold a degree in electrical engineering embedded systems computer science physics or a comparable technical field

  • Have experience with C assembly C# Matlab (at least a couple of these)

  • Have experience with signal processing fixed-point and floating-point DSP programming experience with electro-acoustic or psychoacoustics is advantageous

  • Experience with algorithm design implementation or simulation

  • Experience with debugging and problem solving

  • Experience with Continuous Integration

  • Experience with tools like Git TFS and Jenkins (or similar)

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies SAFe is a valuable addition

  • Fluent speaking reading and writing in English is a prerequisite. Knowledge of Dutch is advantageous.

Your effective communication skills allow you to collaborate easily with colleagues in your local team and remotely across the organization and you can raise criticism constructively. You take a systematic approach to your work and have a deep sense of detail whilst having the ability to work with deadlines. Your aptitude for rapidly acquiring knowledge is matched by your enthusiasm for consistent growth.
