About the role

Nexperia is a crucial international high-tech semiconductor company with ambitious plans. The Director Corporate Strategy leads the development coordination and execution of Nexperias corporate strategy and strategic growth agenda. The role owns key elements of the corporate strategy process long-term planning strategic portfolio reviews and strategic projects sponsored by the Executive Management Team (EMT).

Working closely with Business Group leaders functional executives and senior stakeholders the Director drives strategic alignment challenges assumptions translates strategic priorities into actionable initiatives and ensures robust execution against long-term value creation objectives.

As a trusted advisor to the CSO CEO and EMT the Director is accountable for translating strategic priorities into executable programmes measurable outcomes and sustainable value creation across the organisation.

The role is ideally suited to a former Engagement Manager Principal Director or equivalent from a leading strategy consulting firm or an experienced in-house strategy leader with exposure to technology semiconductors industrials or manufacturing.

Furthermore the role includes:

Strategic Management Process Ownership

  • Own govern and continuously improve the Nexperia Strategic Management Process ensuring alignment between strategy development capital allocation execution management risk management ESG priorities governance requirements and long-term value creation.

Corporate Strategy Process Leadership

  • Lead and coordinate the annual strategy cycle Long-Term Planning (LTP) process and periodic strategy reviews across all Business Groups and Functions ensuring consistent methodologies assumptions timelines deliverables and decision quality.

Strategic Intelligence and Insight Generation

  • Oversee market customer competitor technology geopolitical regulatory sustainability and macroeconomic analyses to support corporate strategic decision-making and long-term scenario planning.

Strategic Assumption Management

  • Own the Strategic Assumption Register ensuring that key market customer technology financial manufacturing geopolitical and ESG assumptions are evidence-based regularly reviewed and transparently incorporated into strategic decision-making.

Portfolio and Technology Strategy Governance

  • Coordinate portfolio technology and manufacturing strategy reviews in partnership with Business Groups R&D and Operations supporting investment prioritisation growth opportunities portfolio optimisation and strategic trade-offs across BIP MOS ICs WIM and emerging technologies.

Strategy and Capital Allocation Support

  • Support the EMT Strategy & Capital Allocation Committee by developing strategic options evaluating investment cases facilitating scenario analyses and providing fact-based recommendations regarding strategic priorities capital allocation and resource deployment.

Strategic Challenge and Decision Quality

  • Challenge business assumptions strategic plans investment proposals and transformation initiatives through rigorous analysis independent assessment and evidence-based recommendations to strengthen decision quality and long-term value creation.

Value Creation Management

  • Coordinate enterprise-wide tracking of strategic priorities value-creation initiatives and transformation programmes monitoring progress against approved objectives expected benefits EBITDA cash ROIC ESG targets and other strategic KPIs.

Strategic Decision Governance

  • Maintain the Strategy Decision & Control Register and ensure that material strategic decisions are properly documented supported by appropriate analyses approved through established governance processes and monitored through implementation.

Cross-Functional Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead high-impact strategic cross-functional and transformation initiatives sponsored by the CSO CEO EMT or Supervisory Board.

Government Affairs Industrial Policy and Incentives

  • Drive strategic assessment of geopolitical developments industrial policies government incentive programmes subsidies regulatory developments and sustainability-related legislation affecting Nexperias competitive position manufacturing footprint and investment decisions.

Board EMT and Shareholder Support

  • Develop and coordinate strategic content analyses decision papers and recommendations for EMT Supervisory Board and Shareholder discussions ensuring consistency of strategic narrative assumptions risks and value-creation expectations.

Strategy Governance and Controls

  • Ensure effectiveness of the Strategic Management System governance framework including decision rights strategic review processes documentation standards control mechanisms audit readiness and continuous process improvement.

ESG and Sustainable Long-Term Value Creation

  • Ensure that ESG and sustainability considerations are integrated into strategic planning portfolio decisions manufacturing footprint reviews capital allocation processes and long-term value creation plans.

Business Partnership and Alignment

  • Act as strategic advisor to Business Group and Functional leadership teams ensuring alignment of business plans investment priorities and execution roadmaps with Nexperias corporate strategy and long-term objectives.

What you will need

  • 10 years of professional experience.
  • Masters degree in Business Administration Economics Engineering Finance or related field.
  • The successful candidate will have built a significant part of their career within a top-tier strategy consulting firm bringing rigorous problem-solving skills structured thinking and experience advising senior executives on strategic business issues.
  • Deep understanding of the semiconductor industry or a comparable technology-intensive sector.
  • Proven track record in corporate strategy portfolio management corporate development and transformation.
  • Outstanding analytical financial modelling and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Credibility and presence to influence executive decision-making at the highest levels of the organisation.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance strategic ambition with business realities.
  • Exceptional communication skills capable of translating complex analyses into clear strategic recommendations.
