Communications & Events Intern for the AEX Experience (Dutch speaker)

About the AEX Experience

In 2013 Euronext Amsterdam in collaboration with Stichting Capital Amsterdam launched the AEX Experience - an educational initiative aimed at enhancing the financial literacy of students.

The AEX Experience is a 1-hour tour designed for scholars and students aged 15-21 years. It offers:

• An opportunity to discover the world of investing.
• An interactive and educational experience where they learn about the history of the stock exchange.
• A chance to enhance their financial knowledge by participating in the investing course and applying what they have learned in the Investors Game.
• A challenge to see if they can become the best investor and make the most profit.

About the Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic trainee to support the day-to-day operation of the AEX Experience. This role involves executing the tours coordinating the visits of groups and providing practical support for the educational tours at Beursplein 5. The intern will work independently under the supervision of the Communications department and will work in close collaboration with the Events Communications and Facilities department of Euronext Amsterdam.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the AEX Experience.
• Assist in the execution of educational tours ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for visitors.
• Provide logistical and administrative support to enhance the visitor experience.
• Collaborate with educational institutions to schedule and organise tours.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the AEX Experience by gathering feedback and suggesting enhancements.
• Contribute to the development of content for the website and other relevant platforms to ensure maximum visibility for the experience.
• Maintain and update the CRM database fostering strong relationships with schools and universities.
• Work closely with the Events Communications and Facilities team to ensure a smooth operation.

Your profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a MBO/HBO-degree in tourism leisure events facilities hospitality communications or a related field.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks with a customer-oriented mindset.
• Proactive and enthusiastic with a pragmatic approach and attention to detail.
• Ambitious and eager to learn.
• Ability to work independently while being a team player.
• Fluency in Dutch and English is required; proficiency in additional European languages is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of financial markets and products is advantageous
