THE ROLE

As Change Manager you will play an essential role in leading and implementing change initiatives across our organization. You will focus on thepeopleside ofchangeand your primary responsibility is to enable successful and sustainable change by minimizing disruption and maximizing the benefits of the changes for all stakeholders involved.
Key activities include creation and execution of change management strategies and plans. You will be the competence expert whofacilitatescoachesand guides stakeholders and teams through successful change journeys.

Initial assignmentsinclude;

  • Further implementationof PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems andsupportrelated organizationaltransformations. You will be working closely with management and departments of engineeringproject management yard operationsITand HR.
  • Leading role as change managertranslating strategic and business direction in change strategies thatinvolve culture and organizational changes
  • Support project andpeople managers in fulfilling their changes roles( rollouts operating model redesign digital transformations)

The role involves further expanding the change management capability within one of our divisions this in close collaboration with the existing team ofchange managers and a growing change management community. You will report to the head of change management within Damen.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Drive organizational change to achieve strategic goals through effective change management
  • Acts as sparring partner forproject and people managersin assessing change impact and change readiness
  • Advisesdesignsand agrees the change strategy and plan with project leadership using standardized methods and frameworks
  • Responsible for definingdrivingandmonitoringthe change deliverables:
    • Change Impact analyses and action plans
    • Trainingplans
    • Interventions for reinforcing implemented changes
    • Changecommunication& Readiness monitoring
  • Coordinate and execute communication activities and reviews and delivers the required communication materials
  • Identifyingrisks resistanceand issues that mayimpactsuccess of the project
  • Identifychange management training needs and coach and trainteams
  • Coach or consult leaders and project teams for smaller initiatives
  • Ensure re-use of best practicesleveragingAIandourapproaches. Furthermore contribute to building andmaintainingwith the change management community

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

ProfessionalExperience:

  • A Bachelor orMaster leveleducation.
  • At least 3-5 yearsof experience in Change Managementor business :Change ManagerProjectManageror Business consultancy roles.
  • Knowledge of / experience in the most common Change Management theories & practices(preferably PROSCI)
  • Knowledge of / experience with Agiledelivery andprojectandimplementationmanagement.
  • Experienced in working on complex business transformation/process improvement/IT systems projects in a technical industrial environment (preferably manufacturing shipbuilding).
  • Experienced in an international organization working withindifferent cultures.
  • Fluent in English Dutch is an advantage.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously while meeting deadlines;
  • Organizational sensitivity and customer orientation; recognizing effects in other parts of the organization and able to support internal customers;
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess impact of proposed changes in different fields;
  • Proactiveness adaptability and resilience with a passion for driving the people side of change;
  • A real team player who likes to work together and collaborates across the organization;
  • Being well-structured and creative.

  • The salary for this positionranges between 4.500 and 6.000gross per month (based on a full-time contract) excluding holiday allowance. Theexact salarywill depend onyourknowledge and position is part of the collective labour agreement Metalektro.
